Find out what's stopping AI from citing your site

19 checks across SEO, GEO and AEO — including whether GPTBot and ClaudeBot are blocked in your robots.txt, and whether your content is readable without JavaScript. Every result comes with the fix, and with the measurement behind it.

No signup. No credit card. We read your homepage, robots.txt and sitemap — nothing else.

Common questions

Why doesn't ChatGPT mention my brand?

The most common cause is mechanical, not editorial: if your robots.txt disallows GPTBot, ChatGPT cannot read your site at all and will never cite it. The second most common is client-side rendering — if your content only appears after JavaScript runs, most AI crawlers see an empty page. This audit checks both in about ten seconds.

How do I know if AI crawlers are blocked on my site?

Look for User-agent groups in your robots.txt that disallow GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended or CCBot. Blocking any one of them makes citation by that engine impossible regardless of how good your content is. This audit reads your robots.txt and names the specific crawlers being blocked.

What is the difference between SEO, GEO and AEO?

SEO is classic on-page correctness — titles, canonicals, indexability — which decides whether search engines can rank you. GEO (generative engine optimization) decides whether AI engines can find and cite you, covering things like llms.txt, crawler access and renderability. AEO (answer engine optimization) shapes content so answers can be extracted from it, using FAQ formatting, structured data and self-contained factual claims. This audit covers all three.

Is this audit really free?

Yes, with no signup. The on-page audit reads your homepage, robots.txt and sitemap, which costs us almost nothing to run, so there is no reason to gate it. The paid product is the AI citation scan, which queries live AI engines and does cost money per run.

How is this different from other AI visibility tools?

Most tools give you a score. This gives you the list of things to fix, and shows the measurement behind every verdict — the exact character counts, the crawler names, the word counts — so you can check our work rather than take a number on trust.

How we measure

We fetch three things: your homepage HTML, your robots.txt and your sitemap. Every check is deterministic parsing of those files — no AI model decides your result, so the same site produces the same answer every time. Checks we cannot verify from those files are marked Not assessed rather than guessed at, and the raw numbers behind each verdict are printed with your results.
